Hello, I’m Sarah. My approach to photography is quite distinctive, shaped by a preference for capturing genuinely natural moments. I find that the more authentic an image is, the less pressure there is on the subject to pose or perform. This allows them to relax and enables me to reveal their true personality and essence through my lens.

Reflecting on my introduction to photography, it feels as though I started in an entirely different age—one dominated by film cameras, with digital photography still in its infancy. I vividly recall enrolling in my first photography course back in 2001, a time when the transition to digital was just beginning and the unfamiliar technology felt daunting. The prospect of embracing digital methods was intimidating, yet recently it marked the start of a new chapter in my creative journey.

It wasn’t until I enrolled in a Digital Photography course with the Open University that I picked up my camera again. During that course, I decided to photograph a few politicians, and I found myself completely absorbed by the experience. It reignited my passion for photography in a way I hadn’t anticipated. I genuinely enjoy pursuing my passions and building meaningful connections with those I meet along the way.
